Nikki’s Character

Nikki plays V, one of “the exclusives” – the “ultra-cool kids in school” who spread rumors.

A spoilt brat or just lucky, V never wants for anything, except for popularity. School’s ok but she would much rather be lying on the beach or zooming down the Short Beach coast in her mum’s cool convertible.

Quotes from Nikki

“It felt freaky putting a school uniform on again. Feature films are something very new and exciting for me and it came out of the blue.” – The Inner-West Courier, 22 Mar 2011

“This role is fun because I wasn’t at school a lot in years 11 and 12, so I never got to be that girly girl. I missed that – I was too busy designing a clothing range and releasing music.” – The Sunday Telegraph, 27 Mar 2011

“It’s really exciting. I got asked by the producers to be apart of it and it’s a very young film, school-aged kids spreading rumors. I’m part of a strong team of three girls who are kind of like the bitches at school that spread all the rumors, and it was so much fun to be apart of, to be on set – I’ve always done music videos but to be on the other side of it and to film a movie and be apart of a whole cast was a great experience.” – The Morning Show, 06 Apr 2011

“To put on a school uniform at 23 was a little crazy, except I still look twelve when I put it on. Everyone went, ‘You still look twelve!’ But it was great to get back into that, being part of a girl group. I never really had that. I was always at school for school, and then I’d go away and do my music and whatever else I was doing, my musical theatre, and I never really kind of hung out with school friends on the weekend. So it was interesting.” – The Morning Show, 06 Apr 2011

“V’s a really cool character, a fun character to play. She kind of is one of the group so she doesn’t really have a strong personality, she’s just hanging out with the group all the time. Wherever the main character is she’s kind of there somewhere, hanging around and giving her two cents in.”

“I think there’s a little bit of V in everybody. There’s a little bit of wanting to be accepted, there’s a little bit of always wanting to rule the group but never having the guts to do it.”

“It’s a great Australian film. It’s got beautiful locations. It deals with strong issues, it deals with social issues, and it also just deals with girls and boys at school and relationships, and coming in and out of relationships, and how everything shifts at school, and always how the older girls kind of rule school and those kind of issues generic klonopin as well. So I think it can relate to a whole wide range of different ages. I think it can appeal to anybody that will take the time to sit down and watch it and really get into it. It’s a great film.”
